Prior to their opening game in Paris, Ogasabi reports on 9am news that the Super Falcons of Nigeria have revealed their Olympic team numbers for 2024.
After a 16-year break, the Super Falcons are returning to the Olympics at Paris 2024. Ogasabi reports that they will face Brazil, one of the biggest football nations, on the 25th, followed by matches against Spain and Japan. Stay tuned to the 9am news for more updates on this exciting event.
Asisat Oshoala, the six-time CAF Women’s Footballer of the Year, will wear the number 8 jersey, while goalie Chiamaka Nnadozie will sport the number 16 jersey. Benfica’s Christy Ucheibe will don the coveted number 10. Nicole Payne will be wearing the number 4 jersey, previously worn by Ashleigh Plumptre, and Chukwunonye Macleans, currently playing in Russia, will wear the number 9.
Captain Rasheedat Ajibade maintains her number 15 jersey, and Toni Payne keeps her number 7. Other notable players include Osinachi Ohale (3), Tosin Demehin (14), Jennifer Echegini (11), and Uchenna Kanu (12).
