Osun APC cabinet dissolution

The opposition All Progressives Congress (APC) in Osun State has called for the immediate dissolution of Governor Ademola Adeleke’s executive council cabinet, citing inefficiency and lack of impact. This call comes as the state nears the midterm anniversary of Governor Adeleke’s administration.

In a statement released by Kola Olabisi, the APC’s Director of Media and Information, the party expressed concern over the commissioners’ performance, describing them as unproductive and largely unknown to the public. The APC claims the dissolution is overdue and emphasized the need for more competent and vibrant individuals who can drive the governor’s development vision forward.

The party criticized the composition of the cabinet, asserting that it was formed based on political patronage rather than merit, leading to mismanagement and redundancy. It also urged the governor to choose his own capable team, rather than relying on nominees from party leaders.

In addition, the APC called for an audit of the governor’s political aides, questioning the number of appointed officials and suggesting that some aides may not be active in their roles. They emphasized that transparency regarding political appointees is crucial, given that public funds are used to pay their salaries.

The Osun APC concluded by reiterating its call for cabinet dissolution and emphasized that such action is necessary for the state’s progress.
