9am new nigeria reports that following its failure on Saturday, the national grid has been restored, according to a statement from the Transmission Company of Nigeria (TCN).

According to the 9am news from the TCN, the power outage was likely caused by three power producing station units unexpectedly tripping, which abruptly removed 313 MegaWatts from the grid and caused system instability. This instability ultimately resulted in the loss of bulk supply to a portion of the national grid.

In response to the abrupt decrease in generation, 9am news correspondence ogasabi observed that the System Operator divided the grid into two sections. The Ibom Power Station is part of the separated grid, and it allows the business to supply Uyo, Aba, Itu, Eket, and Calabar even during blackouts in the other area.

Additionally, as soon as the event occurred, the operators started working to restore the grid. As of right now, the incident-affected portion of the grid has been entirely restored.
