Manchester City has officially signed Omar Marmoush from Eintracht Frankfurt for an initial fee of £59 million, which could rise to £63.2 million with add-ons. The Egyptian forward has agreed to a contract that will keep him at the club until 2029. This transfer marks Marmoush as City’s third significant signing of the January transfer window, following the arrivals of Vitor Reis and Abdukodir Khusanov.

Marmoush expressed his excitement about joining one of the world’s top teams, stating, “To sign for Manchester City – one of the best teams in the world – is an amazing feeling. I am delighted, my family are so proud, and we are all very happy to be here in Manchester.” He highlighted the appeal of City’s world-class facilities and coaching staff under Pep Guardiola, emphasizing his ambition to win trophies with the club.

The 25-year-old forward has been in impressive form this season, scoring 15 goals in 17 matches for Frankfurt, making him one of the standout players in the Bundesliga. His versatility allows him to play across various attacking positions, which Guardiola can utilize as City aims to strengthen their squad amid a challenging season.

Marmoush is set to wear the No. 7 shirt, previously unoccupied, and could make his debut on January 25 against Chelsea if all paperwork is processed in time. This move not only enhances City’s attacking options but also signifies their commitment to maintaining a competitive edge in both domestic and European competitions.
