Sean Savett, spokesperson for the National Security Council, emphasized that these strikes were targeted and focused on military sites within Iran.
The United States, while informed beforehand, confirmed that there was no direct American involvement in the strikes. A US defense official, speaking anonymously, refrained from specifying when or what details were shared by Israel in advance.
Both President Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris have been briefed on the situation and will receive continuous updates, according to statements from the White House.
