The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has officially commenced the distribution of sensitive materials across Ondo State ahead of the governorship election scheduled for Saturday, November 16, 2024.
The distribution process took place at the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) premises in Alagbaka, Akure, with heightened security provided by armed policemen. Party agents and other observers were present to ensure transparency, while several commercial buses hired by INEC facilitated the seamless dispatch of materials to various local government areas.
This marks a critical step in INEC’s preparations to ensure a credible and efficient electoral process, reinforcing public confidence in the commission’s readiness.
