According to 9am news Nigeria, the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has approved a new logo for the New Nigeria People’s Party (NNPP), which the party says reflects its commitment to national development.
Mr. Ladipo Johnson, the NNPP’s National Publicity Secretary, announced in Abuja on Thursday that the new logo, featuring red-white-red colors, will replace the previous green and blue design.
Johnson highlighted that the educational symbol on the logo underscores the party’s emphasis on education as a crucial driver of development.
He explained that the “graduation cap on a book” symbolizes the pursuit of knowledge, which the party believes is essential for societal growth and advancement.
This change, approved at the NNPP party’s convention on April 6, 2024, was formally conveyed to and accepted by INEC on June 6, 2024, 9am News Reports.
According to 9am news Nigeria, INEC describes the logo as a graduation cap on a book with the inscription “Education for All” set against red-white-red horizontal stripes.
Also Ogasabi reports that the NNPP hopes this new logo will engage Nigerians in its mission of national renewal and inclusion.
In addition the party stressed its dedication to merit-based opportunities and education, urging Nigerians to embrace its vision for a better society.
Furthermore, the NNPP denied allegations of internal factionalism, expelling dissenters and rejecting their disputes through court rulings.
According to Ogasabi, the party urged the media not to spread misinformation.
Finally, INEC letter to the NNPP confirmed its approval of the new logo. The 9am news Nigeria mentioned that with this new symbol, the NNPP aims to inspire confidence in its commitment to national development.
