Controversial social media figure Idris Okuneye, popularly known as Bobrisky, has denied accusations of bribing Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) officials to dismiss money laundering charges against him, 9am News Nigeria reports. The claims were made by social media influencer Martins Otse, known online as VeryDarkMan, in a viral audio clip.

In the recording, Bobrisky was accused of paying ₦15 million to unnamed EFCC personnel to avoid prosecution. However, Bobrisky took to Instagram to refute the allegations, calling the voice note false and misleading. “I didn’t pay any EFCC money. I served my term in full and came out,” he wrote, urging his followers to disregard the claims.

Meanwhile, the EFCC has announced an investigation into the matter, with Chairman Ola Olukoyede ordering a probe into the bribery allegations.
