Global music star Wizkid is set to spotlight Lagos on the international stage with his upcoming documentary, “Long Live Lagos,” which will premiere at the 2025 Tribeca Film Festival in New York. The festival runs from June 1 to 15, marking a significant moment in Wizkid’s career and for Nigerian music fans worldwide.

Directed by Karam Gill and produced alongside Daniel Malikyar, the film offers an intimate glimpse into Wizkid’s journey tracing his rise from humble beginnings in Surulere, Lagos, to his performances on some of the world’s biggest stages. It captures the vibrant essence of Lagos and the cultural roots that have shaped his distinctive sound.

Sharing the news on Instagram, Wizkid wrote:
“We made this documentary when life got crazy for me. Playing Tottenham Hotspur Stadium while dealing with life! Glad I get to have my amazing fans and family on this journey with me. This is love! From a real place!”
