Tems, the Nigerian international sensation, delivered a stunning performance in North Carolina at the 2025 edition of the Dreamville Festival, further solidifying her reputation as one of Africa’s brightest music exports. The event, founded by acclaimed rapper J. Cole, saw thousands of fans gather to witness electrifying performances from top global acts, including PartyNextDoor and Tems herself.

The high point of the night came when Tems and J. Cole shared the stage for a live rendition of Free Fall, a fan-favorite from Tems’ debut album Born In The Wild. The duet sent the crowd into a frenzy, marking one of the festival’s most memorable moments.

Tems’ performance at Dreamville follows a strong start to 2025. Just weeks earlier, she performed in South Africa as part of her Born In The Wild world tour, continuing her tradition of connecting with fans across the globe. Earlier in the year, she also captivated audiences at London’s O2 Arena during the unveiling of Aston Martin’s new car for the 2025 F1 season — another testament to her rising influence beyond music.

Now a two-time Grammy Award winner, Tems clinched her second trophy at the 67th Grammy Awards, taking home the Best African Song Performance. This accolade places her among the few African artists with multiple Grammy wins, underscoring her growing dominance on the world stage.

Adding to her achievements, Tems recently earned four more certifications from the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA), proving her commercial strength in the U.S. market. Her growing collection of plaques affirms her music’s resonance with a global audience.

As Women’s History Month wrapped up in March, Spotify recognized Tems as one of the African female stars breaking global boundaries, alongside Ayra Starr and South African Grammy winner Tyla. With her unmatched vocal style, authentic sound, and widespread recognition, Tems continues to lead the new wave of African music on the international scene.

From sold-out arenas to international accolades, 2025 is shaping up to be another defining year for Tems and she’s just getting started.
