The Super Eagles of Nigeria will take on South American sides Venezuela and Colombia in a double-header international friendly series in the United States this November.

According to the 9am News report, the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) confirmed that the friendlies are part of preparations for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) scheduled to take place in Morocco this December.

Match Fixtures

  • Nigeria vs Venezuela – Friday, 14 November at the Shell Energy Stadium, Houston.
  • Nigeria vs Colombia – Tuesday, 18 November at Citi Field, New York.

In between, Colombia will also square up against New Zealand in Fort Lauderdale on Saturday, 15 November, before their clash with the Super Eagles.

The games against Venezuela and Colombia will serve as important tests for the Super Eagles as they fine-tune their squad ahead of the AFCON.

Nigeria will also be in action next month against the Crocodiles of Lesotho and the Squirrels of Benin Republic in the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers.

With head coach Finidi George keen on blending youth and experience in the team, these friendlies provide a perfect opportunity to assess new talents and sharpen strategies against high-quality opponents.

The Super Eagles last played an international friendly in September, and these upcoming fixtures are expected to boost their match fitness and tactical cohesion before competitive assignments later in the year.
