9am News reveals the rising anticipation within the Super Eagles camp in Uyo, Akwa Ibom State, as the team gears up for the pivotal 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifiers matches against Rwanda and Benin Republic. The atmosphere in camp is charged with determination and focus, as over 20 of the 23 invited players have already reported.

The Super Eagles’ preparations kicked off on Monday, September 2, as the team gathered in Uyo for the upcoming AFCON 2025 qualifiers. Under the guidance of interim coach Augustine Eguavoen, Nigeria is set to face the Benin Republic’s Cheetahs at home this weekend. The much-anticipated clash will take place on Saturday, September 7, at the Godswill Akpabio International Stadium.

Shortly after, the team will travel to Kigali to take on the Amavubi of Rwanda on Tuesday, September 10, at the Amahoro Stadium.

Defenders: William Troost-Ekong (Al-Kholood, Saudi Arabia), Bright Osayi-Samuel (Fenerbahce FC, Turkey); Semi Ajayi (West Bromwich Albion, England); Olisa Ndah (Orlando Pirates, South Africa), Bruno Onyemaechi (Boavista FC, Portugal), Calvin Bassey (Fulham FC, England); Ola Aina (Nottingham Forest, England).
