Mbappe expressed his excitement on social media after joining the 15-time European champions: “A dream come true. I’m overjoyed and honored to join Real Madrid, the team of my dreams. No one can truly comprehend my current excitement. Madridistas, I can’t wait to meet you. Thank you for all your amazing support. Hala Madrid!”

The 25-year-old revealed that he was “unhappy” with several aspects of PSG before Euro 2024. “Finally, it’s official, I am going to be a Real Madrid player for the next five years,” Mbappe stated.

On Wednesday, August 14, in Warsaw, Real Madrid will play Atalanta, the Europa League winners, in the UEFA Super Cup, where Mbappe is expected to make his competitive debut. Then, on Sunday, August 18, Carlo Ancelotti’s team will begin their La Liga championship defense away to Mallorca, having finished 10 points ahead of the defending champions, Barcelona.
