Rivers United extended their lead at the top with a hard-earned 1-0 victory over Niger Tornadoes, thanks to a goal from Seiyefa Jackson. Rivers United now sit comfortably at 20 points from eight games, staying ahead of their closest rival.
Remo Stars, recovering from their loss to Plateau United, claimed a crucial 1-0 win over arch-rivals Bendel Insurance with Dela Akorli scoring just before halftime. With 18 points, Remo Stars briefly topped the table before Rivers United’s win.
Abia Warriors responded to their midweek setback with a strong 3-1 win over Plateau United. Goals from Sunday Megwo, Adejoh Ojonugwa, and Paul Samson lifted the Warriors to ninth place with 11 points, overturning an early strike from Adamu Abubakar.
Newly-promoted Ikorodu City FC earned a vital 4-2 victory against Lobi Stars, with contributions from Salau Yusuf, Emmanuel Solomon, Alade Solomon, and Rivio Ayemwenre. This result sees Ikorodu City move out of the relegation zone, marking their second win of the season.
In Kano, Ahmed Musa continued his impressive form with his third assist of the season, helping Kano Pillars to a 1-1 draw against Kwara United. Despite taking the lead through Adeshina Gata, Kwara United were held back by a Mohammed Zulkifilu equalizer, assisted by Musa.

Shooting Stars also secured a narrow 1-0 win against Katsina United through Adams Mustapha, while Akwa United and Enugu Rangers played out a goalless draw in Uyo.
