Former Super Eagles coach Finidi George led Rivers United to a 2-0 victory over his former club Enyimba. Goals from Ubong Friday and Seiyefa Jackson secured Rivers’ third win in four games, keeping them unbeaten this season.
Shooting Stars SC grabbed their first victory of the season with a 1-0 win over Heartland FC at the Lekan Salami Stadium, courtesy of a 21st-minute strike by Samuel Ayanrinde. The win moves them to eighth on the NPFL table, while Heartland remains 18th.
In Ikenne, Remo Stars maintained their perfect start to the season with a 2-1 victory over Enugu Rangers. Despite Rangers equalizing through a penalty, Tochukwu Michael’s goal restored Remo’s lead, ensuring their spot at the top of the table.
Katsina United defeated Lobi Stars 3-0, leaving Lobi at the bottom of the table with just one point. Elsewhere, Abia Warriors recorded their first win of the season, beating Kano Pillars 2-0, while El-Kanemi Warriors drew 2-2 with Plateau United.
Other results saw Bayelsa United draw 1-1 with Kwara United, and Niger Tornadoes held Bendel Insurance to a 1-1 draw in Minna.
