Nigerians change 2027

Rabiu Kwankwaso, National Leader of the New Nigeria People’s Party (NNPP), has predicted that Nigerians will push for real change in the 2027 election cycle due to the current situation in the country. Kwankwaso made this statement while welcoming over 2,000 defectors from the All Progressives Congress (APC) to the NNPP in Kano State on Thursday.

The defectors, who hail from Dala, Kiru, and Gwale local government areas, were received at Kwankwaso’s Miller Road residence in Kano. Addressing them, he expressed confidence that Nigerians, especially in the northern region, have grown tired of the current administration’s policies, which have led to increased insecurity and poverty.

“Nigerians, more specifically northerners, have suffered enough, and no amount of pressure or intimidation will change their minds,” Kwankwaso stated, noting that the APC-led government has failed the poor masses.

He emphasized that Nigerians are ready for a shift, stating that, despite any attempts to use security agencies or INEC in the upcoming elections, the people are determined to fight for real change. He also described the defection of APC members to the NNPP as historic, signaling the weakening of the APC’s hold in Kano’s affected local government areas.

Kwankwaso further stressed that the APC, initially founded to serve the poor masses, has now abandoned them, leaving the nation grappling with insecurity and poverty. “Nigerians are tired,” he concluded.
