Renowned Nollywood filmmaker Kemi Adetiba has revealed December 25, 2025, as the release date for the next installment of her critically acclaimed King of Boys franchise. Adetiba made the announcement on Instagram during her birthday celebration, stirring excitement among fans of the epic series.
“KOB Army…. ARISE!!! It’s time…. We MOOOOOOOVE. Signed: Your General. #KOB3 #TheBeginningOfTheEnd #DettyDecember25 #KAV25,” she wrote, marking the film’s return with her signature flair.
Titled King of Boys: The Beginning of the End, the upcoming installment promises to deliver the high-stakes drama and intricate storytelling that has captivated audiences since the first film’s debut in 2018. Known for its rich characters and gripping narrative, the series follows Alhaja Eniola Salami, a formidable business mogul and philanthropist, as she navigates power struggles in a world where alliances are fragile and betrayal is commonplace.
The latest film will introduce new characters while retaining iconic ones, including the powerful Eniola Salami, played by the legendary Sola Sobowale. The original King of Boys film and its sequel, King of Boys: The Return of the King, set new standards in Nollywood with standout performances from a stellar cast, including Nse Ikpe-Etim, Adesua Etomi, Jide Kosoko, and Richard Mofe-Damijo.
Adetiba began pre-production for the project earlier in 2023, simultaneously teasing other upcoming works, such as To Kill a Monkey and Welcome to the Fourth. The announcement of KOB 3 as a cinematic release underscores the director’s commitment to providing a premium movie-going experience for fans.
