Jamb 2025

The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has officially announced a new date for the commencement of the 2025 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME). The highly anticipated national exam will now begin on Thursday, April 24, 2025, a day earlier than the previously scheduled date of April 25.

This change was confirmed in a statement issued on Saturday by Fabian Benjamin, Ph.D., Public Communication Advisor to JAMB. The shift, according to JAMB, was necessitated by “essential commitments by the Board and its partner agencies.”

JAMB Opens Portal for 2025 UTME Notification Slip Printing

In line with the new schedule, JAMB has activated the online portal for all registered candidates to print their 2025 UTME Notification Slips. These slips contain key details, including:

  • Date of examination
  • Time of examination
  • Assigned examination centre and venue

How to Print Your 2025 UTME Slip:

  1. Visit www.jamb.gov.ng
  2. Click on “2025 UTME Slip Printing”
  3. Enter your JAMB registration number
  4. Click “Print Examination Slip”

Candidates are strongly advised to print their slips ahead of time and visit their centres before the day of the examination to avoid any last-minute confusion or delay.

Strict Rules on Examination Centres

JAMB has also emphasized its zero-tolerance policy on examination centre violations. The Board clearly stated that:

  • No candidate will be allowed to sit for the exam outside the town selected during registration.
  • Candidates must not appear at any centre not listed on their examination slip.
  • Any breach of this policy will result in disqualification from the exam.

According to the statement:

“Candidates will be assigned to centres within their chosen examination towns; no candidate will be placed in a centre outside their selected town.”

With this new development, all 2025 UTME candidates are encouraged to stay informed, adhere strictly to instructions, and avoid misinformation, especially from unofficial sources. JAMB remains committed to ensuring a seamless and credible examination process for all prospective university and polytechnic students in Nigeria.
