It was a moment of joy and culture as Nollywood actress Iyabo Ojo welcomed her daughter, Priscilla, and Tanzanian singer Juma Jux back to Nigeria with their newborn son, Rakeem, in a vibrant homecoming ceremony.
The celebration, held in Lagos, was filled with music, dance, and traditional drumming, marking baby Rakeem’s first official visit to Nigeria. Videos shared by Iyabo Ojo on Instagram captured emotional moments Priscilla fighting back tears of joy while Juma Jux proudly carried their son amid cheers from family and friends.
“Welcome to Nigeria #rakeem_mk,” Iyabo Ojo captioned one of the posts that quickly went viral.
Family and Friends Join the Celebration
Prominent guests, including entrepreneur and Priscilla’s godmother Chioma Ikokwu (popularly known as Chioma GoodHair), graced the homecoming. She commented joyfully on Instagram, “My prince is here.”
The Lagos event followed a grand 40-day celebration and naming ceremony for baby Rakeem held in Tanzania earlier this month, organised by Juma Jux.
Expressing gratitude, Priscilla wrote, “Rakeem is lucky. Thank you, Glamma and Godmother,” referring to Iyabo Ojo and Chioma Ikokwu.
Baby Rakeem, born in Canada on August 24, 2025, has already captured the hearts of fans across Nigeria and Tanzania. Following his birth, Priscilla and Juma Jux held an elaborate reception in Tanzania before returning home for the Lagos celebration, which drew friends, family, and well-wishers.
The colourful homecoming once again showcased the strong bond between the Ojo family and their Tanzanian in-laws, further blending two cultures in one joyful moment.
