“I am fine, but Lagos isn’t” GRV Replies Tokunbo Wahab

In a news report by 9am news nigeria, Gbadebo Rhodes- Vivour, GRV, the former governorship candidate of the Labour Party for Lagos state in the 2023 general election, responded to Tokunbo Wahab, the state for Commissioner for Environment and Water Resources, at some point this week.

Following the flood tides that betided in Lagos State on Wednesday, July 3, 9am news nigeria took note that GRV blamed the state administration on social media. Gbadebo included a videotape of a weed- covered waterway in Lekki Phase 1 in his post. He inquired as to whether the government or the people were in charge of clearing the waterway to allow downfall to inflow freely.

‘’Here is a Canal in Lekki overgrown with weeds that disrupts the free flow of water. As i always say, It is far easier to clear canals than it is to demolish buildings.” he wrote

‘’Eventually, you will be fine.”

Wahab Responded

Responding to Wahab’s comment during an interview with Arise television moment, GRV stated that he’s fine but Lagos is n’t. He said the state government can not be passionate about destruction when do n’t watch about the interest of its citizens.

‘’I am fine, but Lagos isn’t. We can’t have a government that is passionate about demolitions but lukewarm towards supporting citizens. They are on ground when it’s time to demolish but tweet when your houses and cars are destroyed by floods.”

9am news correspondece Ogasabi stated that he argued that they’re on ground when they want to demolish but take to social media to speak when flood tide destroys the homes and buses of the people.
