Set in the 18th century, House of Ga’a reveals the gripping tale of Ga’a, a power-hungry figure who orchestrates a brutal betrayal within the Oyo Empire. According to 9am news Nigeria, the film was the most-watched by Nigerian users on Netflix between August 5 and August 11, marking a significant milestone in Nigerian cinema.

Following closely on the Netflix chart, as reported by 9am news nigeria, are Kingsman: The Golden Circle and Kingsman: The Secret Service, both directed by Matthew Vaughn. These spy action comedy films, part of the Kingsman franchise, have secured the second and third spots, respectively. Ogasabi also highlights that Mission: Cross, a spy action comedy about a former agent turned househusband, Park Kang-moo, claimed the fourth position, while Savi, an Indian film about a woman’s determination to free her husband from prison, landed in fifth place.

In sixth place, Tad, the Lost Explorer, and the Emerald Tablet, a family drama about a construction worker’s adventurous journey to Peru, continues to captivate audiences. Meanwhile, Borderless Fog, a crime thriller focusing on a detective’s investigation of gruesome murders along the Indonesia-Malaysia border, took the seventh spot. According to Breaking news on 9am news Nigeria, Kung Fu Hustle, an action comedy set in a village with unexpected heroes, secured the eighth position.

Concluding the top ten, Maharaja, an Indian action film, and Rebel Moon – Part 2: Director’s Cut, an action film about a distant colony on the edge of the galaxy, placed ninth and tenth respectively. These rankings, shared by Ogasabi on 9am news, reflect the diverse genres that have captured the attention of Netflix viewers in Nigeria this August.
