Guinness Nigeria Plc has announced its unaudited financial results for the nine months ended 31 March 2025, showcasing a remarkable turnaround built on strategic discipline, commercial agility, and a focus on long-term value creation, 9am News reports.

Guinness reported a profit after tax of N6.7 billion, a significant recovery compared to the N61.6 billion loss recorded during the same period last year.

Revenue growth was a standout, surging by 71.6 percent from N220.3 billion to N377.9 billion. This impressive performance was driven by strategic pricing actions, an enhanced product portfolio mix, and strengthened consumer demand across core categories.

Gross profit rose by 53 percent to N103.5 billion, supported by proactive supply chain management and continued premiumisation across key Guinness brands.

Meanwhile, operating profit increased by 32 percent, moving from N22.2 billion to N29.2 billion. This improvement highlights the benefits of cost optimization initiatives, productivity enhancements, and efficient marketing investments, even amid a challenging high-inflation and FX-pressured environment.

Net finance costs were carefully managed, contributing to the solid N6.7 billion bottom-line profit.

Commenting on the results, Board Chairman, Professor Fabian Ajogwu, stated:

“This robust performance is a clear reflection of the strategic choices we have made to reposition Guinness Nigeria for long-term resilience and growth. It is a testament to strong leadership, unwavering execution, and the trust of our shareholders, customers, and trade partners.”

Guinness Nigeria’s strong results signal growing investor confidence and position the company well for continued success as it navigates Nigeria’s evolving economic landscape.
