Flood Hit 28 States As NEMA Plans Evacuation

Nema released that the recent flood disaster in Nigeria has devastated 28 states, affecting 526,703 people and 133 local government areas (LGAs). According to Ogasabi on 9am news, the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) reported that 207,902 people have been displaced, 175 lives lost, and over 106,000 hectares of farmland destroyed.

President Bola Tinubu has expressed deep sympathy for the flood victims and committed to providing necessary support, He emphasized the critical need for timely warnings to mitigate the impact of such environmental disasters. In response, NEMA has activated the National Emergency Operation Center to coordinate disaster relief efforts effectively.
