The Finnish Immigration Service has officially opened applications for the 2025 Finland Seasonal Work Permit, providing foreign nationals with the opportunity to take up temporary jobs in Finland’s agriculture, forestry, and tourism sectors.
This seasonal work permit allows migrant workers to work in Finland for up to nine months within a 12-month period, helping the country meet its labor demands while offering international work experience to job seekers.
According to TravelBiz, these permits are designed specifically for foreign workers, ensuring compliance with Finnish labor laws. However, all applicants must secure a valid permit before traveling to Finland.
Types of Finland Seasonal Work Permits
Finland offers two types of seasonal work permits depending on the duration of employment:
- Seasonal Work Visa (Up to 3 Months)

- Residence Permit for Seasonal Work (3 to 9 Months)
- Required for employment lasting between three and nine months.
- This permit must be obtained before entering Finland.
- Processing can take up to 90 days, so early applications are strongly recommended.
