This captivating historical drama, set in 1980s Ibadan, is scheduled to hit theaters nationwide on August 27.
Storyline For Farmer’s Bride
Farmer’s Bride tells the moving story of Odun, a wealthy yet lonely farmer, who finds solace in his marriage to Funmi, a young wife. However, Funmi struggles to find happiness in their union and ultimately begins an illicit affair with Odun’s nephew. Their actions lead to unsettling consequences, weaving a tale of supernatural forces, betrayal, and love.
Adebayo Tijani and Jack’enneth Opukeme co-directed the film, featuring a stellar cast that includes Tobi Bakre (Gangs of Lagos), Gbubemi Ejeye (Far From Home), Femi Branch (House of Gaa), Mercy Aigbe (Ada Omo Mummy), Efe Irele (L.I.F.E), and Wumi Toriola (Aburo). Their performances bring depth and authenticity to this gripping story.
