FG Set To Increases The Nigerian Passport Fees

Federal Government has increased the fees for obtaining a Nigerian passport, while the fees for Nigerians living abroad remains unchanged.

Effective September 1, 2024, Ogasabi on 9am news reports that the Federal Government has increased the fees for obtaining a Nigerian passport. This Breaking news highlights the government’s efforts to uphold the integrity and quality of the Nigerian Standard Passport, according to a statement by DCI Kenneth Udo, the spokesperson for the Nigeria Immigration Service.

Under the new guidelines, the cost of a 64-page passport booklet with a 10-year validity has risen from Seventy Thousand Naira (N70,000.00) to One Hundred Thousand Naira (N100,000.00). Additionally, a 32-page passport booklet with a 5-year validity, previously priced at Thirty-five Thousand Naira (N35,000.00), will now cost Fifty Thousand Naira (N50,000.00). Ogasabi on 9am news Nigeria confirms that fees for Nigerians living abroad will remain unchanged.
