Super Eagles B Squad

Head Coach Eric Chelle has unveiled a final squad of 23 home-based players who will represent Nigeria’s Super Eagles B at the 8th African Nations Championship (CHAN), scheduled to hold across Kenya, Tanzania, and Uganda from 2nd to 30th August 2025.

The squad includes experienced players like team captain Junior Harrison Nduka, defender Sikiru Alimi, and prolific forward Godwin Obaje. Also making the cut are goalkeeper Henry Ozoemena Ani, defenders Sodiq Ismaila and Stephen Mayo Egbe, midfielders Hadi Haruna, Alex Oyowah, and forwards Anas Yusuf and Ijoma Anthony.

The team is set to depart Nigeria this evening aboard an Ethiopian Airlines flight for a second-phase training camp in Zanzibar, where they will prepare from 25th to 31st July before moving into official CHAN accommodation.

To sharpen the squad, the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) has secured two warm-up matches against the Zanzibar Senior National Team — scheduled for Monday, 28th July and Thursday, 31st July.

The Super Eagles B, who were silver medallists in 2018 and bronze medallists in 2014, have been grouped in Group D alongside defending champions Senegal, Sudan, and Congo. Nigeria will open its CHAN campaign against Senegal at the Amman Stadium in Zanzibar, face Sudan at the same venue, and wrap up the group phase against Congo at the Benjamin Mkapa Stadium in Dar es Salaam.

The team has been in camp for weeks at the Remo Stars Sports Institute, Ikenne-Remo, Ogun State.
