Nigerian Afrobeats megastar Davido set Uyo ablaze over the weekend with an unforgettable sold-out concert at the Godswill Akpabio International Stadium, thrilling more than 30,000 fans in a night filled with music, lights, and boundless energy.

The performance marked the grand kickoff of his highly anticipated “5ive Alive Tour,” celebrating Davido’s decade-long dominance in African music and his global impact on the Afrobeats sound.

From the moment Davido stepped on stage, the atmosphere was electric. Backed by a world-class live band, he delivered a seamless mix of his biggest hits from early anthems like “Dami Duro” and “Aye” to global sensations such as “Unavailable” and his latest release, “With You.”

Fans danced, screamed, and sang along passionately as the superstar performed with unmatched charisma and stage presence.

“Uyo, you made history tonight!” Davido shouted midway through his set, prompting a deafening response as thousands of phone flashlights illuminated the stadium in a wave of emotion and unity.

Adding to the excitement, TikTok influencer Ivana, widely known for her playful banter between Wizkid and Davido fanbases, opened the show in what many fans described as “a rare moment of unity in Afrobeats.”

The concert also attracted prominent dignitaries, including Akwa Ibom State Governor Umo Eno and Senate President Godswill Akpabio. Both commended Davido for showcasing Uyo as a hub for entertainment and tourism in Nigeria.

“We are proud to host Davido and his incredible team,” Governor Eno said. “This concert shows that Akwa Ibom is peaceful, welcoming, and ready for global events.”

With the “5ive Alive Tour” now set to move through major African cities before heading to Europe and North America, Davido has once again proven why he remains one of Africa’s most electrifying performers a symbol of unity, culture, and the enduring power of Afrobeats.
