Nigerian Afrobeats star Ayra Starr has laid out her ambitious roadmap to global superstardom, revealing her dream of topping the Billboard Hot 100, winning multiple Grammy Awards, and performing at the iconic Super Bowl halftime show within the next decade.

In an interview on the eTalk show, the 23-year-old singer, who rose to international fame under Mavin Records, said she’s determined to cement her place as one of the biggest names in global music.

“I definitely want a top Hot 100 Billboard song. That’s a must. I want Grammys upon Grammys. I’m going to tour the world… I want to tour Asia,” she said.

Ayra Starr, whose hit single “Rush” earned her a historic nomination for Best African Music Performance at the 66th Grammy Awards, said that beyond music, she wants to build a lifestyle brand that will stand the test of time.

“Twenty years from now, I want to have my own brand even before then but I want it to be a household name. Either in fashion, makeup, beauty, skincare, or something fun,” she said, adding that she wants to enjoy every step of the journey.

The Bloody Samaritan hitmaker’s aspirations come on the back of her impressive global rise, with sold-out shows across Europe and North America, and a rapidly growing fan base worldwide.

“To be honest, just taking over. I’m already doing that, but I want to do it on a much grander scale. Ten years from now, I want to do my own Super Bowl,” Ayra Starr said.

Her bold vision places her among the new wave of Nigerian stars pushing Afrobeats onto the world stage, continuing to break barriers and expand the reach of African music.
