The Mavin Records star will feature alongside Cynthia Erivo, Viola Davis, and Idris Elba, among others, in this epic fantasy film produced by Lucasfilm, the powerhouse studio behind Star Wars.

The movie, set in an African fantasy kingdom, follows a young woman’s quest to reclaim her people’s stolen magic. With production currently underway, the release date is set for 2027.
