Awoniyi, making his 15th league appearance, came off the bench in the 88th minute and sealed the victory with a stoppage-time goal in the 94th minute. His clinical finish capped off a dominant performance by Forest, who continue their impressive form in the Premier League.

Ola Aina also featured in the match, marking his 20th league appearance for the team this season.

Forest started strongly, taking the lead in the 7th minute through Morgan Gibbs-White. Chris Wood doubled their advantage just before halftime, striking in the 44th minute to put the visitors in control. Awoniyi’s late goal ensured a comprehensive win for Forest.

The result marks Forest’s sixth consecutive league victory, solidifying their position in third place on the table. They are tied on 40 points with second-placed Arsenal and trail league leaders Liverpool by six points, with Liverpool having a game in hand.

Also, Forest’s next challenge is a home clash against Luton Town in the FA Cup, followed by a crucial Premier League encounter with Liverpool at the City Ground.

With this momentum, Forest are poised to maintain their strong push in both domestic competitions, further establishing themselves as serious contenders this season.
