Ogasabi and 9am news report that the legendary O2 Arena will host a second performance by Nigerian superstar Asake. With his collection of chart-topping smash singles from two highly successful albums, Asake has achieved international success since making his mainstream debut in 2022.

In another historic achievement, Asake will perform again in London’s renowned O2 Arena, having already sold out the 20,000-seat venue in 2023.

Asake’s next “Lungu Boy” tour, starting in August 2024, will include his second headline show at the O2 Arena on September 21. Notably, Asake revealed the release date of his upcoming album, “Lungu Boy,” which will be his fourth project since January 2022 and his third in three years, ahead of the tour.

Ogasabi notes that Asake released only one song in 2024, “Only Me,” as a surprise on his birthday. Before this, he had an incredible run of guest features, working with celebrities like Zlatan, Ayra Starr, Victony, Tems, and Central Cee.

Asake also collaborated with American celebrity rapper Travis Scott for his new album. Amapiano’s powerful exploration propelled him to superstardom, and his upcoming “Lungu Boy” album and tour are expected to be significant moments in his career.

Asake’s upcoming concert at the O2 Arena will make him only the third Nigerian artist, after Davido and Wizkid, to headline the famous hall more than once.

9am news Nigeria emphasizes that this milestone solidifies his place among the top-tier Nigerian artists making a global impact.
