Former Lagos Governor Akinwunmi Ambode has denied claims that he plans to contest for governor under the African Democratic Congress (ADC). He described the reports as false and aimed at causing distractions.

In a statement on Saturday, Ambode reaffirmed his loyalty to the All Progressives Congress (APC) and President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, praising the President’s leadership and reforms in pensions, student loans, youth empowerment, security, and economic growth.

Ambode credited Tinubu with ending fuel scarcity and implementing policies to improve Nigerians’ lives. He said Tinubu’s focus and inclusive governance style were delivering results and restoring hope.

Ambode urged APC members and Nigerians to ignore distractions and work for the party’s success in the 2027 elections. He said he stands firmly with Tinubu to ensure another four years of delivering the dividends of democracy.
