Australian tennis player Alex De Minaur has opted out of the 2024 Wimbledon tournament ahead of his quarterfinal match against Novak Djokovic, the seven-time Wimbledon champion from Serbia, 9am news nigeria.
De Minaur suffered an injury during his fourth-round match against French player Arthur Fils, particularly on match point In the 2024 Wimbledon.
Consequently, Djokovic advances to the semifinals by default and will compete against the winner of the match between American Taylor Fritz and Italian Lorenzo Musetti.
