Osun State Governor Ademola Adeleke has called on indigenes of Osun residing in Ondo State to rally behind Agboola Ajayi, the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) candidate, in the upcoming Ondo gubernatorial election on November 16.
During his campaign visit to Ondo State on Tuesday, Governor Adeleke joined Ajayi campaign trail, addressing a crowd in Akure, Ondo’s state capital. He urged Osun indigenes to cast their votes for Ajayi and to remain vigilant on election day.
“All the things they didn’t do in 12 years, we have done in two years in Osun,” Adeleke stated. “Go and tell them that we are behind your ‘governor’ (Ajayi). We have brought the light to Ondo State. Agboola Ajayi has the experience, up to the grassroots, and would bring Osun’s wonders to Ondo.”
Governor Adeleke praised the progress made in Osun under PDP governance and expressed his hope to see similar growth in Ondo State. He reinforced that the PDP is “the only progressive party” and that Ajayi, if elected, would deliver substantial benefits for Ondo residents.
Also, In his remarks, Ajayi expressed gratitude to Osun’s people for their support, pledging to bring democratic dividends to all Ondo residents. Kehinde Ayinla, Chairman of Osun State Indigenes in Ondo, assured Ajayi of strong turnout from Osun voters across Ondo’s 18 local government areas, citing Ajayi’s commitment to addressing challenges faced by both Osun indigenes and Ondo residents.
