Big Brother Naija Season 10 housemate, Faith Adewale, has been disqualified from the reality show after physically assaulting fellow contestant Sultana during a group task.
The announcement was made by Biggie on Thursday after an emergency meeting at the main lounge, where Faith was ordered to leave the house immediately.
The altercation began when Sultana accused Faith of being controlling and insisting on leading the group, despite the task not aligning with his medical expertise.
The heated exchange escalated when Faith dragged a basket containing the group’s materials, causing Sultana to fall and injure her hand. Housemate Kaybobo intervened and removed the basket from Faith, but the damage had already been done.
A visibly upset Sultana later declared that she could no longer work with him in the same group. Big Brother management confirmed that the incident violated house rules on physical violence, which can attract strikes or outright disqualification.
This is not the first time a housemate has been disqualified for violent or aggressive behavior in the BBNaija franchise.
- In 2019, Tacha was disqualified following a fight with Mercy, where she shoved, pushed, and pulled Mercy’s hair. Mercy received two strikes for provocation.
- In 2020, Erica was expelled after a series of infractions, including denying the Deputy Head of House access to the lounge, hurling insults, and disobeying Biggie’s rules.
- In 2022, Beauty Tukura, ex-Miss Nigeria, was disqualified after assaulting Groovy and damaging property. She had earlier received a strike for assaulting Ilebaye.
- Other housemates such as Kemen Ekerete, Khloe Abiri, and Kelvin Brouillete (K-Brule) have also faced disqualification over the years for rule violations and misconduct.
The 9am News report notes that Faith’s exit adds another dramatic twist to Season 10, leaving fans debating the impact of his disqualification on the remaining housemates.
