The Central Bank of Nigeria CBN has denied viral reports that it withdrew licenses for Heritage Bank, Keystone Bank and Unity Bank and advised their customers to withdraw their funds from the banks, 9am News reports
In the viral post which purportedly came from the CBN said: “CBN has withdrawn the licenses of Keystone Bank, Unity Bank and Heritage Bank.
All the customers affected should try and withdraw all their money there using ATM card or transfer all their fund to another bank account before it is too late”.
9AM News Nigeria hereby affirm to our dear readers that the viral report quoted above is false.
The CBN made a post on its X handle on Thursday July 11 denying the viral report saying it was fake news. The CBN’s post read “The report has nothing to do with the Central Bank of Nigeria. Please be guided”.
