The All Progressives Congress Youth League (APC-YL) has thrown its weight behind Mr Seyi Tinubu, calling on the National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS) and other critics to halt what they describe as unnecessary distractions, 9am News report confirms.

Speaking with reporters in Abuja, the National President of APC-YL, Comrade Olamide Lawal, emphasized Seyi Tinubu’s positive impact, particularly in youth empowerment and public service.

“We acknowledge and appreciate the good deeds and contributions of Mr Seyi Tinubu to our community, particularly in empowering youths,” Lawal stated. “His dedication to public service and commitment to the welfare of young people are undeniable. He needs to be allowed to concentrate on the humanitarian path he has chosen.”

Describing Seyi Tinubu as “a pride and blessing to his generation and the coming ones,” Lawal urged NANS and other critics to refrain from spreading negative narratives.

“We urge NANS and others to stop their negative criticisms. They should stop spreading false narratives aimed at tarnishing Seyi Tinubu’s image. His reputation as a champion of youth emancipation and empowerment should not be undermined by baseless allegations,” Lawal added.

Seyi Tinubu, son of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, has been increasingly visible in humanitarian efforts, especially youth-focused initiatives. His activities have drawn both praise and criticism across social and political circles.

The APC Youth League’s endorsement highlights the growing inter-party dialogue around the role of youth in national development, with many observers noting that young leaders must be given room to operate without constant political interference.

As political tensions rise ahead of upcoming elections, stakeholders warn that unfounded attacks risk distracting from pressing youth development issues in Nigeria.
