Super Eagles camp in Kigali is officially open as preparations begin for Nigeria’s crucial 2026 FIFA World Cup Qualifier against Rwanda. Six players, including star striker Victor Osimhen, have already arrived, alongside all officials.
Osimhen, who has been in sensational form, joins the camp fresh off a hat-trick performance in Galatasaray’s 4-0 victory over Antalyaspor on Friday. The Nigerian forward currently tops the Turkish Super Lig’s goal-scoring chart with 20 goals in 22 games and has netted 23 goals in 32 appearances for the Super Eagles.
Other players currently in camp include goalkeepers Amas Obasogie (Bendel Insurance FC) and Kayode Bankole (Remo Stars), defender Bruno Onyemaechi (Olympiacos FC), midfielder Papa Daniel (Niger Tornadoes FC), and forward Tolu Arokodare (KRC Genk).
More players are expected to arrive as the team gears up for the World Cup Qualifier, with training sessions set to commence immediately.
