Afrobeats superstar Davido will headline the 2025 Summerjam Festival in Germany alongside Jamaican reggae legend Vybez Kartel. The festival, set to take place from June 4 to 6, 2025, will feature an impressive lineup of reggae and dancehall heavyweights, including Beenie Man, Morgan Heritage, and other top-tier performers. This marks another career milestone for the five-time Grammy nominee, who follows in the footsteps of fellow Nigerian star Burna Boy, who headlined the festival in 2024.
2025 is shaping up to be a massive year for Davido, as he gears up for the release of his new album, ‘5ive,’ scheduled to drop on April 18, 2025. Ahead of the album, he has already released two singles, ‘Awuke,’ featuring Jamaican dancehall artist YG Marley, and ‘Funds,’ featuring Chike and OdumoduBlvck. His next single, ‘Be There Still,’ is set for release on March 15, 2025, serving as the final single before his highly anticipated album. ‘5ive’ will feature 17 tracks, maintaining the pattern of his previous four studio albums.
Davido has teased collaborations with several top artists, including Omah Lay, who described their joint track as a “perfect partnership.” Adekunle Gold has also hinted at a feature on the album. With the success of his record-breaking fourth album, ‘Timeless,’ fans expect ‘5ive’ to deliver another chart-topping project.
Before taking center stage at the Summerjam Festival, Davido will compete in six categories at the 17th Headies Awards, including the prestigious Artist of the Year. As he continues to dominate the global music scene, 2025 is proving to be another defining year for the Nigerian megastar.
