The Brazilian Foreign Ministry, Itamaraty, highlighted Nigeria’s stature on the world stage:
“As the 6th largest population in the world and the 1st on the African continent, as well as one of the largest economies in Africa, Nigeria has converging interests with the other members of the group.”
Nigeria’s partnership with BRICS aligns with the bloc’s goals of fostering economic growth, enhancing cooperation among emerging markets, and promoting a more equitable global order.
