Liverpool dropped crucial points in the Premier League after a 1-1 draw against Nottingham Forest at the City Ground on Tuesday night.

Forest took the lead early in the match, with Chris Wood finding the net in the 8th minute. However, Liverpool responded in the second half through Diogo Jota, who equalized in the 66th minute.

For Forest, Ola Aina put in a solid 90-minute performance, while Taiwo Awoniyi made a late cameo, coming on in the 90th minute to face his former club.

The draw leaves Forest second in the table on 41 points, trailing leaders Liverpool by six points. Liverpool, however, have a game in hand, which could prove crucial as the season progresses.

Arne Slot’s men were looking to return to winning ways following a 2-2 draw with Manchester United at Anfield in their previous league outing. Despite their efforts, they were unable to secure maximum points.

Attention now shifts to the North London derby on Wednesday, where a win for Arsenal against Tottenham Hotspur could reduce Liverpool’s lead at the top to just four points, intensifying the title race.

Liverpool’s next challenge will be to ensure they maintain their lead as the Premier League title race heats up
