Newcastle United striker Alexander Isak has been crowned December 2024’s EA SPORTS Player of the Month, marking the first time in his career he has received this prestigious award.
Isak delivered an outstanding performance throughout December, scoring eight goals and providing two assists in six Premier League matches. His goals included a hat-trick against Ipswich Town and crucial strikes against Liverpool, Brentford, Leicester City, Aston Villa, and Manchester United.
His remarkable goal in the 3-3 draw against Liverpool also earned him December’s Guinness Goal of the Month award, making him one of only six players to claim both honors in the same month.
The 25-year-old Swedish striker joins an elite group as only the fourth Swedish player to win the EA SPORTS Player of the Month since its inception in 1994/95. He follows Freddie Ljungberg (April 2002), Johan Elmander (November 2010), and Zlatan Ibrahimovic (December 2016).
