As the prestigious CAF Female Awards 2024 approaches, Nigeria celebrates a significant presence in the nominees’ list for various categories. The awards, set to take place on December 16, 2024, in Marrakech, Morocco, will honor achievements in African women’s football from January to October 2024.

Nigerian Stars and Clubs in the Spotlight

Women’s Player of the Year

Nigerian international Rasheedat Ajibade (Atletico Madrid) and Chiamaka Nnadozie (Paris FC) lead Nigeria’s representation in the fiercely competitive category. They face stiff competition from global stars like Tabitha Chawinga (Malawi) and Barbara Banda (Zambia).

Goalkeeper of the Year

The goalkeeping prowess of Chiamaka Nnadozie (Paris FC) and Monle Oyono (Edo Queens) places them as strong contenders alongside Morocco’s Khadija Er-Rmichi and South Africa’s Andile Dlamini.

Interclub Player of the Year
