APC Inaugurates Governor Sanwo-Olu as Campaign Chair for Ondo State Governorship Election

On Monday, the All Progressives Congress (APC) officially inaugurated Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, as chairman of the National Campaign Council for the Ondo State governorship election. The event, held at the International Culture and Event Centre (Dome) in Akure, also saw Kebbi State Governor Nasir Idris and Cross River State Governor Bassey Otu appointed as deputy chairmen, with Senator Ovie Omo-Agege serving as the council’s secretary.

In his address to council members, APC National Chairman Abdullahi Ganduje urged unity and compliance with legal processes throughout the campaign. “The council is headed by a man who has proven his dedication to the party’s ideals,” Ganduje said, adding that the team was selected based on their integrity, hard work, and commitment to APC values.

Ganduje expressed confidence in the synergy between the national and local campaign councils, emphasizing that their combined efforts will lead to an APC victory. He highlighted the goal of maintaining a “homogenous party followership” in the region through democratic means, assuring that the election would be conducted fairly and transparently.

Governor Sanwo-Olu also pledged to lead a campaign that is “free, fair, credible, and highly competitive,” affirming the council’s dedication to upholding professional and constitutional standards.

Also, As the Ondo State election approaches, APC’s campaign strategy is focused on continuity and progress, aiming to maintain the developmental strides and reforms that have characterized governance in the region.
