The Nigerian Meteorological Agency (NiMet) has predicted thunderstorms and rainy weather across the country from Tuesday through Thursday. According to NiMet’s weather outlook released in Abuja, thunderstorms are expected in parts of Bauchi, Kebbi, Taraba, Kano, Katsina, Adamawa, and Kaduna on Tuesday morning, with the entire region seeing storms later in the day.
In the North Central region, thunderstorms are forecasted for Kogi, Benue, Plateau, Nasarawa, Niger, and the Federal Capital Territory in both morning and afternoon hours.
The Southern region will experience moderate rains in Ebonyi, Imo, Enugu, Oyo, Ekiti, Ondo, Delta, Bayelsa, Cross River, and Rivers in the morning, followed by intermittent rains across the region later in the day.
By Thursday, NiMet Forecasted that thunderstorms are expected in Sokoto, Kebbi, Taraba, and Adamawa during the morning, and in Borno, Bauchi, Kaduna, Nasarawa, and the Federal Capital Territory later in the day.
NiMet warns of potential urban flooding due to heavy downpours and advises residents to take precautions and stay informed through weather updates.
